I can’t say I was entirely too happy with the $50 entry fee this year at Katsu. My expectations were, to say in the least bit, HEIGHTENED IMMENSELY due to the $20 jack-up in their price. Yet somehow I found myself having one of the worst times I’ve ever had at a con. In other words: dood, Katsu blowed. For serious.
I really want to see if I can write a con review for Chambers (of CLS). I have so much more I want to say, but really don’t feel as if posting it in the news blog is the best thing to do.
I think I posted the contest just a little too late for anyone to even see it. I didn’t end up giving out any prizes. Oh well, there’s always next con, right? I might have to wait a few cons though considering my next ones are going to be on the west coast and we sure as hell haven’t even advertised out there. VIRGIN MARKET!
So pretty much what I ended up doing at the con was walk. A lot. And sleep. I barely ate though, which blew… but not half as much as the $50 I wasted on the con. I went to the rave on Friday night and the music sucked. We gave away brownies to the artists on Friday and free cake to random people in the hallway on Saturday. Hopefully some pictures will emerge of me and my ex-fiance (now boyfriend) sitting half-dead in the hallway with a large cake carrier and a very poorly crafted sign that said, “FREE CAKE! And no, the cake is not a lie. Srsly.”
I have to say though, I enjoyed seeing my loads of con friends for what will probably be the last time in a WHILE.
